Marjory Dilworth Gouthro, age 67, of Oakdale, Connecticut, passed away Sunday, April 30th, 2017. With her family by her side, she succumbed to a long battle with Alzheimer 's disease, and passed peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Hong Kong, China on February 18th, 1950 to the late Dr. David E. and Mary (Betty) Dilworth. Having a wonderful appreciation for music, Marjory could play the bassoon as well as the piano. She later attended Seattle Pacific College but graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, before working as a Registered Sanitarian for Washington State. It wasn't until Marjory moved to Connecticut that she answered her calling to become a Special Education Teacher at the New London High School. Marjory compassionately helped many students with multiple disabilities, throughout her time at New London High, and will surely be missed by many friends and co-workers.
