Mark Paulus, 56, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Rosewood On Broadway, Fargo, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Mark was born May 2, 1955 in Fargo, ND. He was raised in Minot, ND, and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School. Following high school, he received an associate's degree in civil engineering from the State College of Science, Wahpeton, ND. He then received a construction management degree from NDSU, in Fargo, while working for the ND Highway Department. In 1988, Mark began working for the Army Corps of Engineers in St. Paul, MN, and moved to the Corps Albuquerque, NM, office in 2000, where he was employed until his death.

Mark loved the lakes, fishing and time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Paulus, Fargo; sister, Mary (Ray) Romon, Rochester, MN and niece, Michelle Romon, Fargo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be directed to Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Funeral: Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1 pm in Lutheran Church of the Cross, West Fargo, ND, with visitation from noon to 1 pm.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND
