Mark Rayborn, Jr., 90, of Lumberton, Mississippi, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.

Funeral services will be at BAXTERVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 625 Gulf Camp Road, Lumberton, Miss. 39455 on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ron Alexander will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in Lumberton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am until services, Friday at the church.

Mr. Rayborn was born August 16, 1924 in Baxterville, Mississippi. He was the oldest member of Baxterville Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years serving as Postmaster and Rural Mail Carrier. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a 31 year veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard, retiring as Sergeant First Class. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a Prisoner of War in Germany. He was active in the American Ex-Prisoners of War Association, the 361st Infantry Association (WW II), the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Family members include three sons, Benny (Mitzi) Rayborn, Voldi (Michong) Rayborn, Stanley (Patti) Rayborn; a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mark Rayborn, Sr. and Rosa Lee Howard Rayborn Millstead; his wife of 54 years, Ola Ryan Rayborn; one sister, Cleo Rayborn; and one granddaughter, Tabitha Rayborn Hartfield.
