Mark R. Carbone, 42, of Shrewsbury Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 4th, 2017.

He was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey to Lisa Marie Mottert (Rumson, New Jersey) and Anthony Lester Carbone (Red bank, New Jersey). From 1995 to 1999, Mark proudly served his country as an Infantryman and Musician in the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he attended the University of Miami working toward a degree in Jazz Performance. Following school, Mark honed his skills working as a union contractor for over a decade before branching out as a self-employed contractor servicing the greater New England area.

He enjoyed reading short story books, free-style drawing, and painting artwork. His greatest passion was
music, in which his talent ranged from playing the trombone and guitar, to writing songs and singing for
family gatherings and Veteran Affairs benefits. Mark was a kind person with a gentle soul that touched
many lives and will always be remembered by those he loved.

(Grandmother) and Eugene Stanley of Hampton/Newport News, Virginia; Lester Carbone (Grandfather) Red Bank, New Jersey and Alice Parker (Grandmother), Alden New York; Krista (Sister) and Jason Gould, Columbia Missouri, and children: Sebastian, Simon and Olivia; Steven (Brother) and Senona Carbone, Ft. Belvoir Virginia, and children: Harley, Caston, Elly, Cora; Melissa (Sister) and Brad Cassidy, Fulton Missouri, and children: Sabin and Morah; Jessica (Sister) and Brandon Graumann, Altus Oklahoma, and children: Abigail, Isaiah, Ethan, and Wyatt; Clifford Carbone (Brother); Amanda (Sister) and Shawn Blankenship, Altus Oklahoma, and children: Felicity, Michaela, Felix, Isabella, Aiden, and Lauryn; Joe (Uncle) and Debbie Carpenter (Aunt) and Kimberly, Jeremiah, and Tommy, (Cousins); Theresa Scherer (Aunt), and Justin, Mathew, Jessica, Katrina (Cousins); Mike (Uncle) and Pam (Aunt) Capps and Edward, Timothy and Jason (Cousins); Mike (Uncle) and Janet (Aunt) Kranis and Zack (Cousin); R.J. (Uncle) and Phyllis (Aunt) Clayton and Heather, Thomas, and Brian (Cousins); Paul (Uncle) and Claire (Aunt) Hackett and Stephanie and Jessica (Cousins).

His mother and father wish to acknowledge the extension of family and loved ones who cultivated special relationships with Mark throughout his life, including his friends Pam, Chuck and Nicole Fields (whose daughters Kacie and LeAnne lovingly referred to Mark as "Uncle Marky Mark") as well as Aileen Parker and the Parker Family of Alden, New York and the brotherhood of the Veteran's Association who Mark loved and cherished.

The family will receive friends 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 18, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton National Cemetery.
