Martha Inez Sanford Fletcher, 80, of Springfield, died Wednesday March 14, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 17th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Denson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Honorary pallbearers will be the Springfield High School Class of 1949. Mrs. Fletcher was born January 25, 1932 in Robertson County to the late Emmit Sanford and the late May Campbell Sanford. She was a graduate of the Springfield High School Class of 1949. She was a member of Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She served as a past president of the Denominational Cumberland Presbyterian Women. Mrs. Fletcher worked as a bookkeeper at Kemper Loose Floor for many years. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Floyd Fletcher, Sr., and by her brothers: Walter, Harold, George, and Jimmy Sanford, and by her sisters: Mary Turney (twin sister), Becky Reaves, and Sybil Ely. Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and Betty Fletcher of Springfield, Brian and Joyce Fletcher of Cleveland, daughter: Charlotte S. Fletcher of Springfield, special niece: Cheryl Ely Dunn of Springfield, grandchildren: Kaylen, Kendall, Alexis, and Ashland Fletcher.
