Marveda (Dedmon) De Boer better known to her loved ones as BeBe, age 96, passed away on January 2, 2018, in Clovis, CA.
Marveda is survived by her son Ron, of Clovis; his daughter Dierdra Williams husband Jeff Williams and their daughters Madison and Mira, of Clovis; and his daughter Gabrielle Allen and her husband Brian Allen, of Poway , CA. and her sisters Etta Massaro, Eva Roach and brother, James Dedmon and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Claude De Boer of Fresno; siblings Charlene Toschi, Wayne Dedmon, Dona Lee Tordini.
Marveda was born on August 24th 1921 in Hodgen, Oklahoma, to parents Fred Dedmon and Cleo Dedmon. In 1932/1933, she moved with her family to Firebaugh, CA. In 1942 she married Claude De Boer, together they had one son, Ronald De Boer and resided in Firebaugh CA. where they owned and ran a local market and other businesses.
Marveda or better known as Bebe to her family and friends was a fun, energetic lady. She loved having her family and friends over for delicious meals, she was a wonderful cook. She loved sharing funny stories and most of all making people laugh. Marveda was an avid painter and loved being creative. For many years she used oil paints as her medium of choice. She created pottery and other ceramics and loved to crochet and quilt. She loved painting, collecting and learning about her Native American heritage. Marveda loved antiques and the stories behind them. She and her husband Claude owned a motorhome for many years and loved traveling with their friends. She was like a grandmother to many, and friend everyone she met, she will be sadly missed.
A Memorial is scheduled for January 15th, 2018 at 12:00pm at Whitehurst Chapel in Fresno. All are welcome to attend and Celebrate Marveda's life. The family would like to thank everyone for attending. Flowers can be sent to Whitehurst Chapel in Fresno.
