Marvin Bauer, 90, Passed away January 18th, 2018 in Houston. Marvin was born April 18, 1927. He served in the navy toward the end of WWII, stationed in Guam. After the war he graduated from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee and soon after started working as an accountant at Pate Oil Company. A few years later he met his wife, Bernice, at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee and they were married in 1958. Exxon bought Pate and Marvin moved his family to Tulsa for four years and then to Houston in 1966.
His loves were family, the Green Bay Packers, and reading.
Marvin is survived by his two sons, Mark (Tania) and Todd and grandchildren Maryna and Lily, nephews Skip Klahorst and Jack Klahorst, and niece Suanne Klahorst. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral service 11:00 AM at the Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet, Bellaire, Texas. Marvin will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer in Houston.
