Mary Anguiano, 79, of Rock Island passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Bettendorf Health Care. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, September 17, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. A Prayer Service will be at 4:45 PM with the visitation from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Mary was born October 5, 1934 in Silvis Ill. Mary Quintana was united in marriage to Valentin Anguiano on December 12, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2012.

Mary was employed at the former Moline Public Hospital in housekeeping. She retired in 1988.

She loved reading the Bible, dancing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Tina (Carlton) Saunders, Salem, VA. Trish (Michael) Silvan of Davenport and sons Jerry (Michelle) Anguiano, and Juan Anguiano, both of Rock Island and Russell Hoover a son-in-law. There are 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother Benjamin Quintana, 4 sisters, Lucy Torres, Josie Peterson, Margaret (Terry) Ludwig, Elena (Fernando) Arano. She was preceded in death by a daughter Anita and Louisa, and 2 sons, Gerardo and Gerardo.
