Mary Ann Adams, 91, went to be with her Lord on January 17th, 2018. She was born in Johnston County to J. Harris and Gladys Roberson on the 29th of September, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Russell Adams, Sr. and her son Stuart Adams. Mary Ann taught Math and Science in Johnston County for many years. She was a dedicated member of Elizabeth United Methodist church her entire life. Her involvement at EUMC included all areas of church administration, singing in the choir, and Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered with Contact Crisis Ministries hotline after retirement.

Mary Ann is survived by her children Nathan Russell Adams, Jr. (wife, Jane Lassiter Adams) (Deanna and Dirk, Taylor and Kelli Thomas) and (Nathan Russell "Russ" Adams, III) of Johnston County; Robert A Adams (wife , Sondra Williams Adams) (Lisa and David Nida, Daniel and Aurora) (Rob and Shelly Adams) of Virginia, Mary Cynthia Satterfield (John Buckley) (D. Grey Satterfield, Jr, Cydney and Seth Burleson, and D Grey "Tripp" Satterfield, III) also of Johnston County.

She is also survived by all of her siblings and their families: Major John H Roberson (Bettye), Tennessee; Dr. Bob S Roberson (Charlotte), Maryland; Rebecca R Duncan, Florida; Major William Roberson (Delia), California; and Rev. George Roberson (Susie), Durham North Carolina.

Visitation with the family will be at McLaurin Funeral Home (12830 US 70 Business, Clayton, NC) 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Saturday January 20, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held at Elizabeth United Methodist Church (4269 Cleveland Rd, Smithfield) on Sunday January 21, 2018 at 2:00.
