Mary Baum Patin, 97, passed away on November 9, 2017 at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with the service at 12:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery. Father Thomas McGing of Holy Savior Catholic Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Simmons, Garrett Boyd, Brian Hooks, Chris Nash, Justin Hanks, Stephen Wigginton, Sean Patin and Fred Patin.







Mrs. Patin was born on September 9, 1920 in New Roads, LA to Abraham Baum and Margaret Langlois Baum and was the youngest of 9 siblings. Living in Jackson, MS for 50 years, she was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church. In 2003, she moved to the Cascades Community in Clinton, MS and became a member of Holy Savior Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bridge with her loving friends and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.





She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Albert Patin, Jr., and her daughter Linda Hooks of Florence, MS.





She is survived by sons, Larry Patin, Sr. (Barbara) of Maryland and Bobby Patin (Denise) of Iowa; daughters, Carolyn Presley and Mary Lewis (Pat) of Pelahatchie, MS; son-in-law, Gene Hooks of Florence, MS; sister, Jeanne Wesley of Denham Springs, LA; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
