Mary Elizabeth "Maybeth" Edwards, beloved wife of 66 years to Charles Edwards, died Tuesday September 10, 2013 at her home in Branford. Maybeth was born October 15, 1922 in Lincoln, NE, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Sullivan Creagan. She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing, and worked as a Registered Nurse at the hospital for 43 years until retiring. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Beth (Charlie) Miller of Guilford, Deborah Edwards, Kathleen Edwards and Charles (Judy) Edwards, all of Branford; her brothers, Paul Creagan of Minnesota, and Robert Creagan of Washington, D. C., her sister, Rita Farnham of Sedona, AZ; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, William and John Creagan. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday morning at 10:00 in St. Therese Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. THERE ARE NO CALLING HOURS. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Connecticut Hospice, Home Care Division, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
