Mary G. Lirette Obituary

I have known Mary since I was born. Our mothers, Rosamond Blair and Alice Gay, were very good friends for decades, really until my mother died in 1978. I am sorry that I lost contact with Mary. I last saw her almost 30 years ago in Silver Spring, MD. I think perhaps we were celebrating Alice's 80th birthday. I am sad about Mary's death. I have known Mary since I was born. Our mothers, Rosamond Blair and Alice Gay, were very good friends for decades, really until my mother died in 1978. I am sorry that I lost contact with Mary. I last saw her almost 30 years ago in Silver Spring, MD. I think perhaps we were celebrating Alice's 80th birthday. I am sad about Mary's death. Very much I would like to be in contact with her children. Mary and my brother, Sloan Blair (Ghunker) were near the same age, and I always played with "little" Coleman. My family lived in Fort Worth but we did get to Austin fairly often to visit the Gays. Mary's father and my father were also friends. I think that the only one of Mary's children that I met was Sarah and that would have been when she was very small and still lived in Austin. Mary was such a wonderful person and I enjoy having her in my memories. Who wouldn't? I remember one year when our two families spent part of a summer together in Rock Port during the war and other nice times when our families were together.
