Mary Gail Anderson, age 75, of Loomis, California passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday January 23rd, 2018. Gail was surrounded with love and support, and she received the very best care during the final days of her life. Mary Gail Anderson was born in Paris, Arkansas on August 4, 1942.

Gail is survived by her three children, Cynthia Anderson-Bires, Michael Anderson, Stacey Anderson, her grandchild, Tyler Anderson, and her significant other, Don Cross. Gail was preceded in death by her father, Denman Thompson, and her mother, Marilyn Dove Rhyne Thompson Holland. She is survived by 4 siblings as well - Donna, Bill, Sharon and Jim, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Mary Gail Anderson accepted Christ as her savior. Pastor Joel Osteen, who is the Head Pastor at Lakewood Church had a profound influence in her life. She spent the majority of her life in California where she attended Carlmont High School. Gail retired from Safeway with over after 30 years of employment.

Gail enjoyed family and friends. She loved to socialize, and enjoyed games like bowling, Yahtzee, cards, crossword puzzles and slot machines. She loved to watch her favorite NBA players and teams on the television. Lake Tahoe was a place she loved to visit, and often referred to the lake and surrounding lands as God's country. She settled down in her latter years in the town of Loomis, where she loved to tend to her yard. She enjoyed family get togethers, and loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays with family and friends. She would gather regularly to play Bunco with a group of local friends and acquaintances.

Mary Gail Anderson was full of life and her faith in Christ was strong. She touched many lives throughout her years and many people considered her a cherished friend. She was a loving, kind and generous soul. She was a free spirit, full of life, and she was loved by the many people whose lives she touched.

Gail will be dearly missed but she left the world a better place through all of the lives she touched, and her spirit will live on forever!

A celebration of life for Mary Gail Anderson will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Hills , 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn , California 95603. A cremation will occur.
