Mary Karen Henderly, 78 of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 at the Fairfield Medical Center. Mary Karen was born in Lancaster, Ohio on April 26th, 1939 to the late Richard J. and Pauline Reef. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1957. Mary Karen was very active in many organizations including the Fairfield County Fair Board, and working in the Art Hall for more than 25 years. She was also a 4-H Advisor for 25 years and was a cook for the farmers at the Producers Livestock. She had also worked for Helen's Flowers. Mary Karen lived on the family farm for most of her adult life and will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.

Mary Karen is survived by her son, Ron (Lisa) Henderly; daughters, Jody (Larry) Daniels, Robin (Chuck) Henderly-Spicer, and Leslynn (Rob) Dean; grandchildren, Ethan, Jessica, Tarin, Demi (Joe), Kaylor, Bryce; great-grandson, Masen; and her brother, John (Lou Ellen) Reef Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Henderly; and grandson, Hunter Brumfield.

A private graveside service is to be held at Amanda Township Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
