Mary Lee (Gardner) Brockman, 88, of Evansville, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 22, 2017, at The Heritage Center. She was born March 4, 1929, in Jasper, Indiana, to the late George and Barbara (Streicher) Gardner.
She graduated from Jasper High School in 1947. Mary Lee worked many years for National City Bank, before starting a family and becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a long time member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping and boating with her husband, Jim; and they were members of the Outboard Boating Club and Small Crafters. Trips with her friends to casinos were her favorite--especially when slot machines were involved. Family was the most important thing to Mary Lee, and she treasured spending time with them. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Special thanks to the staff at The Heritage Center for the wonderful care Mary Lee was given.
Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cliff Gardner, and sister, Bernice "Bunny" Roelle.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim; daughters, Karen Case (Kem) and Melanie Hunt (Greg) of Evansville; grandchildren, Whitney Livesay (Dan), Ryan Case, Haley and Brandon Hunt; great-grandson, Bennett Livesay; sister, Judy Eversman, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2017, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Road, officiated by Fr. Jerry Pratt, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park.
