Mary S. Topa, age 92 of Albion passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan. She was born May 31, 1918 in Albion, Michigan to Lucyan and Josephine (Mruk) Zielinski. On January 2, 1937 in Angola, Indiana she married Vincent J. Topa who preceded her in death on November 15, 2010.

Mary was a 1937 Graduate of Washington Gardner High School, worked at Lonnergans during the War. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Altar Society and helped with funeral dinners. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and playing cards.

Mary is survived by:

Daughter- Barbara J. Topa of Albion

Sons- David (Barbara J.) Topa of Jackson
Allen J. (Mary E.) Topa of Albion

(6) Grandchildren
(10) Great Grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ted Zielinski, half brother Walt Stanzak and half sister Stella Ivanski.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 2:00P.M. - 4:00P.M. and 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion, Michigan 49224 with a Rosary being recited at the church. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Father Gordon Greene officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, Michigan.
