Marylin Ray (nee Thielenhouse) Vehrs of Marengo passed away February 13, 2017.
Marylin was born August 19, 1937 in Chicago to Roy and Helen Thielenhouse. In 1959 she married her loving husband, Herb.
She was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid in Marengo.
She enjoyed being a stay at home mom until her children were grown; then she was a realtor for 20 years.
Her loving husband, family and church were most important to her. She was a lifetime Cubs fan, loved Polka dancing and having and celebrating Christmas with family.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Herb; children, Kevin (Debbie), Randy (Kim), Herb (Laura), Dean, Melody (Tim) Winter and Rick (Carla); 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother in law, Marv Birkhoff; dear sister in law, Bernice Lemke and a very special friend, Maureen Tisdall; and many nieces and nephews.
Marylin was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen Thielenhouse; daughter, Linda; grandson Joshua and sister, Nancy Birkoff.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St, Marengo. Visitation will continue February 16, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights.
