Maurine Caskey Lammes
Maurine Caskey Lammes, 85 of Amarillo passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Rosary will be said Friday, January 26, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Hector Madrigal presiding. Services are entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home
Maurine was born on January 24, 1932 in Beaumont, Texas to Clarence and Dorothy Caskey. She married William Joseph Lammes on August 10, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas and together they welcomed six children. They relocated to Amarillo where they remained for many years to follow. She was a devout member of the St. Joseph's Parish for the better part of 50 years where she was known to help any and everyone no matter the need as well as being a member of the Altar Society. She loved her dogs and had many hobbies including embroidering, puzzles, and most of all, the love of a good book.
She was preceded in death by her husband William in 2003, her parents Clarence and Dorothy, and twin sister Maxine in 2013.
She is survived by her three daughters, Monica Lammes of Amarillo, Laura Graham and husband Alan of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Rita McPherson and husband Jon of Merriam, Kansas; three sons Lawrence Lammes of Amarillo, Alan Lammes and wife Kristy of Amarillo, and Francis Lammes and wife Boogie of Plano, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Maurine's generous and giving memory
