Max was born on July 14, 1926 and passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

Max was a resident of Greenville, Michigan at the time of passing.

Drafted in 1944, he served with the 4th Infantry Division in Central Europe, receiving the Victory Medal, American Theater ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater ribbon w/1 bronze battle star, Army of Occupation Medal Germany and Good Conduct Medal.He returned to Greenville after his honorable military discharge to work for Meijer as a semi driver and then entered the maintenance department, joining his father Dennis.

Services will be held on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 11 AM from Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 908 W. Oak St .Greenville, with his Pastor, Rev. Jeffrey M. Wilhelm officiating. Burial with US Army and American Legion Military Honors will be held at Sidney Cemetery. A Visitation will be held at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville on Friday from 6 to 8 PM.

Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Spectrum Health Hospice or Gideons International.
