Michael Lynn Renfro, 55, went to his eternal home August 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born on September 14, 1960 to Lyndell and Eva Renfro in Garland, Texas. “Mike” as most everyone knew him, was known for his humor. There was no one that he couldn’t make laugh. He loved to tell jokes and even while in the hospital he had everyone laughing. Seeing other people happy meant so much to him, he truly had a heart of gold. Mike enjoyed tinkering with things, and was a true handyman, there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix. Mike also enjoyed fishing and riding four-wheelers. His family described him as independent and someone who may have looked tough but was very loving. He was a big softy when it came to his favorite pal, Buddy. He had Buddy for many years and he had him wrapped around his paw. He even sang to him. Mike was a family man and cared for everyone. He was just a good ol’ boy. Michael is proceeded in death by his mother, Eva Renfro. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lauren Lowrey and her husband Matt, his father, Lyndell Renfro, his two sisters, Teresa Frazier and her husband Steve and Becky Carter. His niece, Chelsey and her husband Adam, and his nephews Josh and wife Emily, and Zachry and his best four legged friend, Buddy and many other extended family members and friends. It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at Anderson- Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at 3:30 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell, Texas.
