VINTON - Mildred "Babe" Watson, 90, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in a local hospice facility.

A lifelong resident of the Vinton area, Babe was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, John C. Bowden Post 208 and Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlework, bingo and going on walks after supper. Babe was a jokester and loved to laugh.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Doyle "DC" Watson; parents, William D. Bolton Jr. and Estelle G. Bolton; sisters, Madeline Phillips and Patsy Bolton; and brother, William Bolton, III.

Survivors include her three children, Rickey Watson and wife Theresa of Vinton, Kenneth "Ott" Watson and wife Rachal of Vinton, and Mona Conrad and husband Mark of Friendswood, Texas; nine grandchildren, Amy LeLeux, Eric Watson, Haley LeJeune, Jared Watson, Adam Watson, Mary Beth Cormier, Morgyn Conrad, Mason Conrad, and Max Conrad; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, June 15 in Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church of Vinton. Visitation will be held in the church 4-8pm Sunday and resume Monday at 9 am until time of service. The Rev. Roger Templeton will officiate. Interment will be in Big Woods Cemetery.
