MINER, Mildred K. Mildred K. Miner, 89, of Tolland, widow of Clarence E. Miner, died Wednesday, (March 15, 2006) at a local health care facility. Born in Rockville the daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Preuss) Kingston, she lived in the Rockville Tolland area all of her life. She was a lifelong member of the Union Congregational Church. She was an animal lover who enjoyed her kittens and crafting. Mildred leaves her son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Theresa Miner of Tolland; her sisters Ethel Hansen of Ellington and Mildred Larson of Vernon; seven grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Douglas, Gregory, Eric and Bryan Miner and Laurie-Beth Thivierge and six great grandchildren; her nephews Frederick Hansen of Tolland, Daniel Champ of Vernon and her niece Theresa Luddecke also of Vernon. She was predeceased, by her sons, Richard F. Miner, Roy F. Miner and his wife Judith (Brown) Miner. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ladd-Turkington and Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., (Rte. 83) Vernon. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Vernon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Conn.
