Mildred Hackfeld, 85, Loraine went to walk hand-in-hand in heaven with her husband Bernard on June 9, 2017.
She was born in Scurry County Texas on January 14, 1932 to William and Nannie Brief Eaton Evans.
Mildred was a very family oriented woman who enjoyed spending time with her husband and her son and making sure that their every need was met. She worked many years as an LVN in Mitchell County and the surrounding areas. Being a nurse made being friendly, helpful, and giving to others come natural to Mildred, as she would help anybody that needed a helping hand. In her later years after the passing of her husband Mildred became very active in attending services and meetings at the Primitive Baptist Church, where she attended often with her son Michael. In her spare time Mildred enjoyed tatting and crocheting. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Mildred is survived by her son Michael of Loraine and by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, by her brothers Reginald Evans and Cecil Evans, and by her sisters Francis Roth and Iris Nell Harlen.
A graveside service for Mildred will be held on Tuesday, June 13th at 10 am in the Roscoe Cemetery with Elder Bernard Gowens of the Primitive Baptist Church officiating. The family will be present for a visitation at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 12th.
