Nance H. Geller, a long time resident of Keene, passed away August 8, 2017. She was 97.

Nance was born to an Australian-American family in Owego, NY where she attended schools and earned her high school diploma from the Owego Free Academy. Cornell University welcomed her and she graduated with a degree in history in 1942. Upon graduation she lived and worked in Rochester, NY as a member of the Girl Scouts of America professional staff.

Nance married Frederick Geller also of Owego on June 1, 1946 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Owego. They lived in Hanover, NH while Frederick completed his post graduate education.

After short stays in Massachusetts and New York, Nance and her family settled in Keene in 1956. Nance continued to be active with the Girls Scouts and she joined the American Cancer Society and served as its secretary. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church. Nance was an active outdoors woman participating in family adventures on ski slopes, hiking trails, and at campgrounds.

Predeceased by her husband in 2004, Nance will be missed by her 3 sons (William of Farmington ME, John of Lake Oswego OR, and James of Devens MA), a daughter (Ann Danziger of Wayne NJ), 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at St James Episcopal Church, West Street, Keene.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Nance's memory to St. James Episcopal Church.
