Phyllis Nancy Stern Gordon, (Nancy) passed away at her home in St Charles, MO on January 5, 2019. Nancy was born in Pontiac, MI, on March 30, 1943, she was 75 years old. Nancy was the daughter of Kenneth M Stern and Leoma E Stern of Imlay City, MI. She is survived by her daughters Julie (Gentry) Sanz-Agero, Jenney Gordon, and Grandson Roman Sanz-Agero.

Nancy was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where she twirled for the Air Force Band. Nancy was a baton twirling instructor/coach for nearly 50 years. She taught thousands of girls and boys the art/sport of baton twirling beginning at the age of 14. Nancy was the first official twirler for the Detroit Lions Football Team. Many of her students went on to twirl for their H.S. or college. She was a certified judge and taught many teams as well as founded her own baton twirling organization.

Ms. Gordon lived in California for 30 years. During her years there, she formed an organization to assist local artists and worked as a caregiver/teacher to troubled youth. A very creative person, Nancy was a talented painter, sculpter, sketch artist and seamstress. Nancy was a member of the American Legion and was an avid supporter of the Disabled American Veterans and St Joseph's Indian School.

Nancy was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed by many. Her remains will be returned to Michigan for a private ceremony given by her family.
