Nicole Shann Woody, 44, of Madison Heights, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Bobby Lee Woody.
Born November 8, 1972 in Dover, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Betty Prihraczky Moore of Madison Heights and Louis Shann, III of Lynchburg. Nicole was preceded in death by her step father, Charles Phillip Moore. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Nicole always put everyone else first, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She loved spreading God's word. She loved The Lord and was a faithful servant. She also loved gardening and her family. Nicole will always be remembered for her very contagious laughter.
In addition to her husband and parents, Nicole is survived by her children, John Cunningham and wife Jessica, Charles Cunningham, Laura Woody, and Dixie Woody; four siblings, Louis Shann, IV and Amanda Abrams and husband Tom, all of Madison Heights and Charles A. Moore and Connie Lee Moore, both of Florida; her granddaughter, Izabella Cunningham; her mother-in-law, Linda Woody Hackett and husband Lindy; brother-in-law, Roger Dale Woody and wife Michelle and Nicole's father-in-law, Bobby Nelson Woody, Jr. and wife Jody of Madison Heights.
Nicole will also be remembered by her aunts and uncles Mark and Gail Moore of Amherst County and Mary Ann and Joe Feola and Dave Prihraczky, all of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor David Cash and Mark Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of her mother, Betty, 148 3rd Street, Madison Heights, where they will also receive friends, following the service.
