Norman H. Peters, 81 of Watkins Glen, NY passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, NY. He was born on April 19, 1933 in Montour Falls, NY. He was married to his wife, Minnie E. Peters for 46 years who predeceased him on July 30, 2013. Norman was also predeceased by his father, Angelo Peters; mother, Margaret (Graham) Peters; sister, Margurite Peters; and brother, James Peters. He is survived by his children, Anthony Peters, William (Yolanda) Peters; Linette (Daryl) Vary; step sons, Steve (Nancy) Crout and Keith (Karen) Crout; 12 grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Wood; several nieces and nephews; his many friends and beloved Cat "Mernie". He worked for 22 years at Shepard Niles, and was well known as a bass player for many years in several local bands.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours and interment will be at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norman's memory to the Humane Society of Schuyler County, PO Box 427, Montour Falls, NY 14865.
