KRATZKE, Norman R. Norman R. Kratzke, 75, of Willington, beloved husband for 45 years of Marilyn (Allen) Kratzke, passed away Friday, (March 17, 2006) at a local health care center. He had lived in Ellington for 20 years before moving to Willington 19 years ago. He was a former member of the Ellington Volunteer Fire Dept. and an EMT for the Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Assoc. He had worked as a printer for Connecticut Mutual for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1985. Norman continued to work for ten years after his retirement for Pinewood Furniture of Manchester where he finished furniture. Besides his wife, Marilyn, he leaves his sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Deborah Kratzke of Enfield, Richard R. and Heidi Kratzke of Ashford, and David M. Kratzke of St. Cloud, FL; his daughter and son-in-law, Laurie J. and Bernard Loehr, Jr. of Tolland; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Russell Kratzke and Allen P. Kratzke. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Fox Hill Health Care Center for the excellent care they gave to Norman over the last two years. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 20, 7 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd.(Rte. 83) Vernon. Burial will be private.
