Funeral services for Mr. Norman Ray McKinney will be held Thursday at 11am at Stephens Funeral Home - DeKalb. Bro. Tommy Miller will be officiating. Burial will be in Twin Cemetery in Wahalak.
Mr. McKinney, 80, of Union, (formerly of Scooba) passed away at Hilltop Nursing Center in Union on Monday.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired engineer on various river barges primarily in the Tombigbee area.
Mr. McKinney enjoyed gardening but his love was playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Jessie McKinney and his wife Tracy along with their children Hailey, Hannah and Emily McKinney; sons Billy Ray McKinney, James Ellis McKinney, Larry McKinney; daughter Darlene. Mr. McKinney is also survived by a brother James McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his William Clarence and Bertie McKinney, son Dwight, daughter Janice and brother John.
Pallbearers will be Jason Easterling, Allen Gilland, Jonathan Hall, Bill Morphis, Herman Wilkerson and John Wheeless.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 7pm at Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb.
