Pansy (Pat) June “Sanders” Macon passed away on March 23, 2015 in McKinney, TX where she had been a resident of Stonefield Assisted Living Center for the past 3 years. She was born to Grady and Gladys Sanders on December 16, 1933 in Rusk County, TX. Pansy was a loving Mom and Granny. Pansy resided in Ola, just outside of Kaufman, for 10 years. She spent a lot of her time, when she wasn’t working as a bookkeeper, working in her yard. What she loved the most was cooking for her family. Her favorite dishes to cook were fried chicken and chocolate pies. She was a long time member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Garland before she was unable to attend. Those who have preceded Pansy are her parentsand spouse Ed Macon. Those left to cherish her memory are: daughter Ann McCarley; grandchildren Kristi Kendall and Wesley Layton; and great-grandchildren Hunter Kendall, Savannah Kendall, Abigail Kendall and Rylee Layton who will miss her dearly. The family will celebrate the life of Pansy on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 3:00pm in the Kaufman Cemetery where she will be interred next to her husband Edward Lee Macon.
