Patricia Fink, Born March 30th of 1959 in Blue Island Illinois, was better known as Patty to her loving husband David. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past February. They've been in love since they were teenagers, and he took care of her to the very end.

Patricia, was better known as Patty to her friends, of which she had many. Some women she met through her love of music over the years. She sang at St. Andrews Choir in Calumet City for MANY years, and sang acapella with the Sweet Adeline Calumet Corner Chapter for a good number of years, becoming the president of the chapter. She LOVED to SING! She loved the chorus outings, the organizing and phone calls, traveling to different places to perform, the bedazzled costumes, even the stage make up and bright red nails.

I think most of all she loved the people. Anyone who knew Patty, knew she talked to people EVERYWHERE she went. She was constantly engaging perfect strangers in conversation, encouraging anyone who claimed to maybe sort of hold a tune to come out and join the group. She met friends in her chosen career of nursing, where she was dedicated and well respected amongst her peers.

Patty was better known as MOM to both Angela (Mark) and Brian (Julie), who love her, and were there with her right to the end. She was known as grandma to her six grandchildren: Brian's kids David Jacob and Emily, and Angela's kids Mark Liam and Jack. Mom was always making comments looking for MORE grandchildren, then Jack arrived, spending lots of time with his grandma in her last 16 months of life. He very obviously brought her joy as he snuggled her in her bed and chair. Her grandkids could always go to grandmas to watch "toonies" or sit at the kitchen table with some scissors, crayons glitter and glue. There was a bin of cars, and some metal trucks to roll around in the dirt for the longest time when the kids were young.

Patty is well loved by her siblings Susan, Diane and Debra, and was preceded in death by her little brother Donald, her Father Donald Woelfel Sr, and her Mother Laverne.
