Patrick Louis Marcon, 65, of Temple passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Temple, Texas. He was born October 23, 1950 in Taylor, Texas to Louis J. and Val A. Marcon.

Pat moved from Taylor with his mother and brother Mike and lived in Lindborg, Kansas, Garden City, Kansas and settled in San Jose, California where he graduated high school. He moved back to Taylor and started his career as a carpenter with his father until hired by the University of Texas. He was a master carpenter and completed projects on the University of Texas Clock Tower, remodeling Lady Bird Johnsons kitchen and the oval office of the Lady Bird Johnson Library.

Pat's passion in life was flying; he obtained his pilot's license in 1971 and flew many times out of the Taylor Airport. He was a wild animal enthusiast and obtained many rescue animals including skunks, raccoons and hawks that he rehabilitated on the family farm. Pat had a hidden talent for sketching and painting that many did not have the pleasure of viewing.

Pat married Jackie and they resided in Coupland until her death.

Preceding him in death is his father, Louis Marcon and mother, Val Shea.

Survivors include his brother, Michael John Marcon of Ephrata, Pennsylvania; brother, Tim Shea of Redmond, Oregon; sister, Frances Marcon Strube and husband Brian of Ballinger, Texas; Step sister, Terri Davis; nephew, Michael Marcon and wife Kerina; Niece, Brenda Marcon; Nephew, Kristopher Strube; Great nephews Tanner, Jon and Danae.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
