Mr. Paul Norman Hipps, 76, of Valdese, passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 at his residence, following a period of declining health.
Paul was born on November 1, 1944 in Burke County to the late Paul William Hipps and Margaret Brown Hipps. He was a retired elementary school teacher, serving for over 20 years in the Burke County Public School System.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Donnie Hipps Hatley and Myrlevine Stamey.
Survivors include his son, Paul William Wiest and wife Ashley of Valdese, and two nieces; Crystal Perry and husband Stephen, and Tammy Miner and husband Steven.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. A private inurnment will follow later at Burke Memorial Park.
