Mrs. Pauline Brown Claro, 90, a long time resident of Jackson, AL, who resided in Montgomery, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Crowne Healthcare of Montgomery Rehabilitation Center located in Montgomery, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents: John Coley Brown and Alliene Etheridge Brown; one son: Charles R. Claro Jr., five brothers: Elmore Brown, Tollie Brown, Roy Brown, Henry A. (Ima Jean) Brown and Rev. Robert L. (Dorothy) Brown: a sister; Dot (Billie) Downey; two granddaughters: Beth Ann Claro and Pauline C. Claro; and two sons-in law: Samuel Strawbridge and Robert J. "Bobby" Oliver. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years: Charles Richard Claro, Sr. She is also survived by her children: Charlene B. Siegal, Richard L. Claro, Kathy K. Lammers and Linda C. Oliver; six sisters: Christine Daugherty, Lucille Boyd, Eloise Stokes, Georgia (Roger) McKay, Alice Oliver and Marie Zentz; one brother: Jerry (Elizabeth) Brown; nine grandchildren: Carolyn Stewart, Jennifer (Matthew) Kistler, Jonathan Siegel, Kristen (Timothy) Matheson, Charles (Mallory) Lammers, Kaitlyn Lammers, Kimberly (Timothy) Davis, Gracie Oliver and Molly Oliver ; and seven great-grandchildren: Brianna Davis, Mary Davis, Christopher Davis, Rachel Kistler, Allison Kistler, Gabriella Kistler and Aberdeen Siegel. Mrs. Claro was a loving wife and mother and was a excellent recovery room nurse in the Surgery and Obstetric Departments of Memorial Hospital located in Belleville, IL. She was a member of Good Springs Baptist Church in Jackson, AL, and the Association of Licensed Practical Nurses. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can made to Antioch Baptist Church of Grove Hill, AL, Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Association, American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice. Mrs. Claro's Celebration of Life Service will be July 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm., officiated by the Reverend Fred Odom at Antioch Baptist Church in Grove Hill, AL.
