Pete K. Kawolsky, 94, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1923 in Bartonville, Illinois to John and Mary (Samchuck) Kawolsky.

He married Marie Muehlbauer on April 26, 1947 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2000 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Bob Kawolsky and Steve (Phyllis) Kawolsky; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Kawolsky of East Peoria and several nieces and nephews.

Pete was the owner since 1950 of the Airport Plumbing and Heating Company in Bartonville. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a Charter Member of the Faith Missionary Church, where he was a former Deacon and Trustee. He was a master gardener.

Funeral services will be at 6 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville. The Rev. Craig Hislope will officiate. Visitation will be from 4pm until 6pm on Tuesday at the church.

Cremation rites will follow the services. Memorials may be made to the Faith Missionary Church. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is handling arrangements.
