Piscataway Philip T. Steffen, 55, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 16, 2012 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Perth Amboy to the late Felix and Grace Steffen, he resided in Piscataway. Philip was employed by GE Healthcare, Piscataway for over 10 years. He was a former member of the Dunellen Elks, enjoyed fishing with his nephews and grand-nephews and was an avid NY Giants and NJ Devils fan. He was a devoted brother, uncle and grand uncle who will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are his loving sisters, Grace Shackney of Metuchen and Dot Steffen of Piscataway, two cherished nephews, David Shackney of Dobbs Ferry, NY and Gabriel Shackney of Ewing, NJ and four dearest grand nephews, Orry, Noah, Harry and Nathan Philip Shackney. Friends and family will come together to remember Philip on Saturday, March 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a 12:30 pm prayer service at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ.
