Phyllis Ann Moberly, 78, passed away on Monday afternoon, November 27, 2017 in Houston, Texas at Memorial City Hospital. She was surrounded by her sons at the time of her death. Phyllis was born on October 29, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to John V. and Dorothy Harrington. Phyllis Moberly is preceded in death by her husband, Yerby Stearman.

Phyllis Moberly received her Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Houston Community College. She earned high praise for her work during her 40 years in the medical field as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Phyllis was a longtime member of 2nd Baptist Church in Houston. She Volunteered as a Radio Announcer for the Christian Broadcasting station KHCB in Houston, Texas.Phyllis was a gifted pianist and she enjoyed volunteering in Christian music ministries throughout her lifetime.

She is survived by her three sons and spouses: Dennis W. Drake, Hendersonville, Tennessee, Daniel L. Drake, Houston, Texas and Russell J. Moberly, Houston, Texas; 10 Loving Grandchildren; 4 sisters, Diana "DeeDee" Colasacco, Phoenix, Arizona, Jan Schultz, Scottsdale Arizona, Joanne Patek, Dallas, Texas and Colleen Hogg, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Joan Marie Harrington (infant), Dottie Fletcher, Maureen Havard: and her brother, L/CPL John Dee Harrington, United States Marines, Killed in Action, Vietnam.

Her dear friend Ana Martinez cared for her in the last years of her life. Her friends Bill Gerke and Fred Newbold also assisted in her care in recent years. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for her their greatest gratitude.
