Priscilla B. Rhodes Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 15, 2017, just 1 month shy of her 95th birthday in Houston, Texas. She was born to Katherine Loughridge and Joel Rhodes in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 15th, 1922. Later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and was raised with 2 brothers since deceased. She graduated from Will Rogers High School and attended Texas Women's University and University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the Delta Gama Sorority.
Priscilla is preceded by death by her husband of 52 years Albert W. Thomas, who passed away in March 2002, along with her brothers Joel Danzler Rhodes Sr. and John Cowley Rhodes.
Priscilla is survived by her daughters Priscilla Brannen Caldwell and Julia Thomas Arnold, grandchildren Jennifer Arnold-Popp and Jonathan Arnold.; Great grandchildren Alexandria Popp and Madison Popp; along with sister-in law Carrol Rhodes and nieces and nephews Cathe' Rhodes, Connie Coddington, Cris Ann Gower, Joel Rhodes III, Barbara King and Steven Rhodes.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday October 18th, 2017 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek. A Graveside Service for family will follow at Brookside Memorial Park located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Texas in Memory of Albert and Priscilla Thomas.
