Quento was born on January 31, 1919 and passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011.

Quento was a resident of Old Mystic, Connecticut at the time of passing.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army 3476th Ordinance Medium Automotive Maintenance Company from 1942 until he was honorably discharged in 1945. He was awarded The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with a Silver Star Pin, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII and a Meritorious Unit Award.

Quento was married to Phyllis.

His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 5-7pm. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM (Not 1pm as printed in Wednesday's edition of The New London Day). The Rev. Mark Porizky will officiate. Burial with presentation of military honors will be at Elm Grove Cemetery.
