Ralph C. Bruner
Greer, SC

Ralph Coleman Bruner, 70, of Greer passed away March 14, 2012 at his home from complications of multiple myeloma, which he had courageously battled for 17 years.

Born in Marion, NC on March 24, 1941 he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline Fisher Bruner.

He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Greer where he had served as Chairman of Deacons and Sunday School Teacher. He graduated from The Apprentice School at the Newport News Shipbuilding Company in Newport News, Virginia. He was retired from General Electric.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Joyce Davis Bruner, a daughter, Shelley Bruner Sturgis (Jim) of Taylors, three sons, Walter David Stalnaker (Eva) of Dallas TX, Ralph Christopher Bruner (Andrea) of Taylors and Richard Coleman Bruner (Kim) of Easley. His is also survived by a sister, Wanda Bruner Lewis (Quince) of Taylors and a brother Joel Lynn Bruner of Greer.

He is predeceased by a daughter, Amanda Dayan Bruner.

He was a most beloved "Papa" to 9 grandchildren: Drew Sturgis, Anna Sturgis, Tyler Bruner, Joel Sturgis, Cory Bruner, Mary Elizabeth Bruner, Aaron Bruner, Leah Bruner and Gunter Ben Ralf "G.B." Stalnaker.

He touched many lives with his humor and was much sought out for his Godly wisdom and guidance. He loved people and never let a 'teachable moment' pass.

Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Mackey Mortuary in Greenville, SC.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 16, 2012, 2:00 PM at Riverside Baptist Church with burial at Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sturgis, 107 Amanda's Autumn Lane, Taylors, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1249 South Suber Road, Greer, South Carolina 29650
