Ralph Todd Freeland, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, died in his home on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Todd was born on January 22, 1956 to his parents, Merlin Ralph Freeland and Kathleen Norris Freeland, who preceded him in death.
During his lifetime, Todd was a well-known, dedicated advocate for handicapped rights in and around Jefferson County and participated in many wheelchair marathons and events and wheelchair basketball. He was instrumental in developing a program for ticketing those illegally parked in handicapped places. Todd was raised as a Baptist and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church. At one time, he worked as an operator at Mobil Oil.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Floyd and her husband, Charles Albert, of Forney, Texas, a niece, Carrie Cagle, a nephew, Michael Floyd, and a great-niece, Willa Cagle.

A graveside service will be held on August 5th at 2:00 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
