Ramell Gladys Sartain Huddleston, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born January 16, 1923, to Dewey and Pansey Pate Sartain. She was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, but for the past 10 years attended Candler's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for several years. The highlight of her sewing was making children's clothes, especially Heirloom Dresses for little girls. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, but loved fishing.

A celebration of life service will be 4:00 P.M Friday, April 7, 2017, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Candler's Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Jane (Bobby) Hodge; one son, James Arthur (Shirley) Huddleston; two brothers, Billy (Mittie) Sartain and Benny Dale (Marie) Sartain; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Sartain; one grandson, Stewart (Molly) Hodge; one great-grandson, Peyton Hodge; special friend, Ursula Cummings; loving neighbor, Edith Green; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Curtiss "J.C." Huddleston; her parents; two sisters, Timmie Cadle and Marie Smith; three brothers, Gilbert Sartain, Quinton Sartain and Mack Sartain; and three grandchildren, John Clay Huddleston, Kacy Marie Huddleston and Lisa Darlene Huddleston.

Visitation will Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
