Mr. Ainsworth passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 11th 2017. He was born February 9th, 1935 in Simpson County, MS.

Mr. Ainsworth was married for 60 years to his loving wife, Mavis Lane Ainsworth.

He served in the United States Navy, he was a policeman for the Town of Flowood for 8 years, an Alderman of Flowood for 13 years, worked at Van Every Ford as a mechanic, Watson Quality Ford as a service writer and went on to work and retire from the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol in 1995. After retirement he worked part-time at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home and Mississippi Mortuary when he wasn't traveling.

Mr. Ainsworth was a member of Flowood Baptist Church over 50 years, serving as a deacon for many years. He spent his free time enjoying time with family and friends, traveling, camping, and taking his wife to each of the 50 states. He loved attending Gospel and Bluegrass singings.

Mr. Ainsworth is survived by his wife, Mavis Ainsworth; daughters, Linda Bell (Randy), Carolyn Hernandez; granddaughters, Stephanie Grantham, Jennifer Martin (Matt), Lindsey Barron (Chris); 8 great grandchildren; brother, Ed Ainsworth (Ann); sister, Louise Sullivan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ainsworth is preceded in death by his father, Estus Ainsworth; mother, Zona Ainsworth; brother-in-law, Braxton Sullivan, and son-in-law, Donald Hernandez.

Visitation will be Monday from 5pm-8pm at Flowood Baptist Church and Tuesday 9am-10am with the funeral at 10am.

Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl, MS.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to: Flowood Baptist Church/Building Fund, 1649 Old Fannin Road, Flowood, MS 39232
