Raymond Randall Moriarity, 71, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. in his Burbank, CA home with complications from MDS.

Born and raised in LaSalle, Illinois on September 9, 1946, the son of Raymond Cyril Moriarity and Theresa Louise Ajster. His father passed when he was 15 and after graduating St. Bede Academy High School, he and his mother moved to Sun Valley, CA in 1964 to start a new life. While attending college, he enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Turkey and served from 1966-1969. Upon his honorable discharge, Ray started in the Trade Show Exposition Service industry which lasted for 48 years. He was co-owner of Paradice Expo Services with partners and ultimately Ray and his wife owned and operated the company solely. He loved the business.

He has been a member of IAEM and IAEE for many years and ran the SWIAEE Children's Charity Golf Classic for over a decade. The money raised went to the California Family Life Center. Ray also served on the board of SW/IAEM many years before becoming Board Chairman. Ray received and IAEM Merit Award for all his work organizing the Golf Classics and other IAEM sponsored activities. He was active on the Chapter Leaders Council and Dues Task Force. Recently, he was active in functions for his high school alma mater in organizing and hosting a west coast Alumni reception.

Ray had many interests including bowling, golf, and of course the horses. But most of all he loved spending time in his Vegas home, and spending time with friends and family.

He leaves behind beloved wife Trina Boyle White-Moriarity, loving step-daughter Carrie White Scanlan (Timothy Scanlan II) and grandchildren Ireland Scanlan (4) and Hazel Scanlan (2). He joins his cherished son, Brian Moriarity (1969-1999).

Services will be held on January 6, 2018 starting with visitation at 1:30 and services at 2:00 at Valley Funeral Home, 2121 W. Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506. Followed by Interment at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills and a Celebration of Life at Pickwick Gardens, 1001 W Riverside Dr., Burbank, CA.
