Reba Wells Goodrich
Reba Asenath Wells Goodrich died Saturday October 1, 2016 at her home in Proctorsville, VT. Reba was born in Springfield, VT Feb. 26, 1928 the daughter of Reuben O. Wells and Nettie A. (Johnson) Wells. Reba attended Chester High School. Reba married Donald M. Goodrich on June 28, 1946 and they lived happily for 56 years. Donald died on Jan 7, 2003.
Reba worked at GE for 25 years retiring in 1988. She remained a homemaker her entire life. Reba enjoyed knitting and crocheting many beautiful baby sets, sweaters, and afghans. Reba's life was devoted to her family and especially her 5 grandsons who she adored and attended many of their school functions and sports games. In recent years Reba has been blessed with great grandchildren and especially Olivia the newest addition to our family. Reba was a member of the Holy Name of Mary, Proctorsville, VT and member of the William French DAR Chapter for 70 years.
Reba is survived by her son Donald M Goodrich, Jr of Bomoseen, VT, daughters Lynn Moonen of Las Vegas, NV and Cheryl Gurdak and husband Joseph of Ludlow, VT; 5 grandsons Jason Gurdak and wife Leora of Burlingame, CA, Ryan Gurdak and wife Rebecca of Proctorsville and Sean Gurdak of Ludlow; Christopher M. Moonen of Plymouth, VT and Geoffrey W Moonen and wife Sarah of NY City, NY; 5 great-grandchildren Talia and Kaia Gurdak of Burlingame, CA; Olivia Gurdak and Erika and Bruce Wright of Proctorsville.
Reba has a sister, Nettie Jean DeWalt and husband William of Simi Valley, CA, a sister-in-law Doris Strong of Springfield, VT and several nieces and nephews. Reba was predeceased by 3 brothers.
Relatives and friends may call Friday October 7, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm at the Adams Funeral Home on 12 Meadow St. in Ludlow. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday October 8, 2016 at 11 am at Holy Name of Mary Church in Proctorsville, VT. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Proctorsville, VT.
