Richard A. Peterson, 75, of Wildwood, Illinois passed away on January 3, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 13, 1942 in Red Oak, IA. Richard was a member of the University Club of Chicago and Harvard University Club. He served in the Judge Advocate General Core of the US Army and was stationed in the Pentagon. Partner at the law firm of Winston & Strawn, Co-owner of the company that made Sno Caps, Raisinets, Goobers, Bit-O-Honey and Chunkies. CEO of Richdale Ltd. Arbitration Judge for Workman's Compensation and best ever grandfather.


Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene; his children, Elizabeth (Kevin Cashmore) and KK; his grandchildren, Emily, Madeline, Brian and Kathleen McKee and Kristopher Cashmore; his brother Marlin (Sandra) of Denver, CO; sister, Shirley (Doug) Schermer of Scottsdale, AZ and Beverly Peterson of Portland, OR; beloved uncle of many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Doris Peterson.
