Richard A. Rothenberger, 87, of Boyertown. Husband of Janet L. (Horn) Rothenberger. Passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Sanatoga Center.

Born in Bechtelsville, he was a son of the late Erma (Miller) and Samuel Rothenberger.

Richard was employed as a Structural Steel Worker for the Bethlehem Steel in Pottstown for many years until the plant closed. Later he worked as a custodian for the Boyertown School District until his retirement.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Tutuila.

Richard was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown. He also was a member of the Boyertown American Legion, the Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company and the Keystone Fire Company. Richard loved to fish, especially at the shore, but his passion was golfing. He was most proud of achieving two holes-in-one. We will always remember him with a golf club in his hand.

He is survived by his daughters, Diane R. Cordero of Boyertown and Lynn R. wife of Terry Lash of Oley. A brother, Samuel A. Rothenberger of Barto. Grandchildren, Adam W. Lash of Evansville, Indiana, Emily M. Lash of West Chester and Connor L. Cordero of Boyertown.

Funeral Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
