Richard W. "Bup" Coover, 75, of Exeter Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was the loving husband of Debra A. "Yogi" (Umbenhauer) Coover.

Born in Schuylkill Haven on January 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Paul and Geneva (Strauch) Coover. Bup was a unique man. He was stubborn, hard working and very family oriented.

Richard honorably served his country in the United States Army. He proudly wore his retired Army Vet hat everywhere he went. After discharged from the Army he was a valued employee with several trucking companies. He first worked with Tose Trucking as the Maintenance and Fleet Manager for 28 years. After they closed he went to Simpson Paper Co. for over five years driving truck and then to Crete Carrier Corp. where he retired.

He thoroughly enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, The Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State Nitany Lions, and NY Yankees baseball. In addition to sports he enjoyed nature, animals, family picnics and his favorite holiday was Christmas!

In addition to his wife, Debra; Bup is survived by two children: Lori A. (Coover) Emery of Douglasville and Ricky L. Coover and his fiancé, Tracey Stone of King of Prussia; six grandchildren: Lauren A. Coover and her fiancé, Michael P. Zomolsky of Douglassville, Brooke V. Emery of Leepsort, Andrew M. Coover and his fiancé, Crystal Santiago of Phoenixville; Rick, Michelle and Michael Coover of Bridgeport; three great grandchildren: Aanya, Caiden and Oakley; two brothers: Jerry Coover and his wife, Barbara of Ft. Worth, TX and Frank Coover and his wife, Juanita of Bridgeport and two sisters: Gwen (Coover) Henry of Ball Ground, GA and Debbie (Coover) Moyer and her husband, Lester of Auburn.

Also surviving is his furry great grandchild, Kitty and the "Good Kids."

Services will be at 12pm on Monday, March 6, 2017 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home Monday from 11 to 12pm. Burial will follow services in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
