Rita M. Beggs, age 77, of Janesville, died on Monday, March 12, 2012, at home. She was born in Rockford on Sept. 16, 1934, the daughter of Chester and Pearl (Lazynski) Pawelski. She graduated from Muldoon High School, Rockford, IL, and had been a Janesville resident since 1961. Rita married Robert Beggs in Rockford on Feb. 4, 1961, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2011. She had been employed by Prent Corp., Kohl's Grocery Store and Piggly Wiggly after her children had grown. She had been a member of St. William Catholic Church. Rita is survived by her 7 children: Robert (Lori) Beggs, Jr. of Janesville, Mary Jo (Thomas) Berg of Janesville, Sean Beggs of Minneapolis, MN, Timothy (Kathleen) Beggs of Janesville, Peter (Tammy) Beggs of Rockford, Bernadette Beggs and Tom Sheridan of Janesville and Ann (Trevor Harveaux) Beggs of Robinsdale, MN; 6 grandchildren: Katie, Jessica, Amy Jo and Alison Berg, and Andrew and Anthony Beggs; special niece, Patsy (Don) Coffman of Rockford; and 1 brother, Anthony (Ruth) Pawelski of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. Randy Timmerman officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
