Robert A. Vanty, 70, of Windsor, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born in Hartford on June 24, 1946, son of the late Anthony Vanty and Julia (Degilis) Vanty. A lifelong resident of Windsor and graduate of Windsor High School, Robert worked as a Foreman at B. Golden & Reikof Restaurant Supply for many years before retiring from Superior Products, Inc. He was an avid sports fan and outdoorsman who enjoyed saltwater fishing. He leaves his son, Anthony "Tony" Vanty and his girlfriend Amanda Dalton of Manchester; a daughter, Danielle Vanty of Pittsfield; a brother, Edward Vanty of New Hartford; and six grandchildren, Kaylee Godfrey, Rebecca Stroiney, Christian McDonald, Antonio McDonald, and London McDonald. Robert was formerly espoused to Andrea Kubalik of Windsor. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Vanty and a grandson, Cody Godfrey. At the request of his family, services will be privately held and memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
